People who are whining about having to redo things.
You aren't the only one who is losing things if a rollback occurs. You did it before, you can do it again (unless you were duping earlier..that you are on your own with).

Zero Red Engines will be given.

But isnt that the exact reason its a big slap in our faces?? We spend time and hard work doing things in this game which could have been allocated differently but we decided to use it here in this game under the assumption that this stuff won't occur.

Now EVERYONE (some more than others) have to suffer and re-do something they already did (with obvious less enjoyment) because A-Net did not find a loophole in their system.

For a few who illegitimately play this game the whole population suffers? I don't know which version of reality this is okay but it isn't mine,

Clearly this is my fault. Started playing again for the first time in nearly 2 years after the GW2 BWE and was probably an hour away from dinging my 30 HOM points

I did some real boring stuff this morning, so clearly I was inviting a roll back

Aha just because I did not become a member of the guru community till off late, doesn't mean that I can't expect something out of this game after spending over $200 on Guild Wars over the last 7 years.

Basically the whole game would be set back to what it was a few days ago so any wealth or accomplishments during those days is lost ....

It's when the devs reset the game to a previous time. I recall one time a few years back where a run-of-the-mill update (skill patch or bug fix) caused all materials and runes to go to their rock bottom prices (ectos and shards were 250g).

The game was offline for a few hours and reverted.

The state of the game (accounts, characters, merchants etc) are rolled back to how they were previously at a certain point in time.

"Rollback" refers to the marketing campaign run by Wal-Mart to showcase their everyday incredibly low prices. The "smiley face" is often associated with this campaign.

Or in Guild Wars terms it simply means they are going to revert the servers to an earlier point in time. Whether a few hours or a few days - we won't know unless it happens and unless ANet tells us.
